Who Is Selena Gomez?
On February 23, 2025, Selena Marie Gomez, known to the world as Selena Gomez, was sitting and listening to the nominees for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series at the thirty-first annual Screen Actors Guild Awards. The SAG Awards honor the best performances in movies and television.
Selena starred in a series that was nominated called Only Murders in the Building, a comedy-mystery show in which she played the role of Mabel Mora. Selena wasn’t expecting to win. She was simply happy and grateful to be there alongside the people she worked with closely to make such a popular TV show.
When Only Murders in the Building was announced the winner, Selena was shocked! As she walked up with her team to accept the award, she kept saying, “What?” and “Do I have to talk? I can’t talk!”
Selena seemed to be speechless at that moment. But, in fact, she had been acting for much of her life. And although she was only thirty-two, she had been famous for a while. Thanking the writers and her costars, Selena said, “I genuinely am just so grateful...everyone deserves this.” Selena Gomez was generously acknowledging those around her. She knew what it was like to be a member of a large cast and a team player. Her dedication and her kindness helped Selena become the success that she is today.
