As the world's only mutant detective agency, X-Factor Investigations welcomes all cases - the stranger, the better! And their latest gigs involve gods, vampires, the disappearance of the Invisible Woman and the ever-volatile state of mutant politics - lurching from a literal Utopia to a damaging Schism! But in the wake of a heartbreaking loss, the team has splintered - and Jamie Madrox begins a quest for the answers he needs to feel whole again. What does his future have in store? Meanwhile, Siryn faces the fight of her life, and a traumatized Wolfsbane returns with a baby on the way - only to learn that her ex-boyfriend, Rictor, has a new love! And will a member of X-Factor fall? It's an X-book like no other! Collecting X-FACTOR (2005) #40-50, #200-232 and #224.1; and NATION X: X-FACTOR.
Peter David is one of the industry’s most prolific and versatile writers whose record-breaking stint on Incredible Hulk remains a fan-favorite to this day. His similarly long-running — and critically acclaimed — association with X-Factor began in the early 1990s and continued in 2005. His other Marvel work includes Captain Marvel, two lengthy stints on Spider-Man 2099, Ben Reilly: Scarlet Spider and the smash-hit Symbiote Spider-Man limited series with artist Greg Land. David is also a novelist and screenwriter. Among his credits are some forty Star Trek tie-ins; original novels such as Sir Apropos of Nothing, Howling Mad and Knight Life; movies Trancers 4 and Trancers 5; and episodes of Babylon 5 and Crusade. He also co-created the TV show Space Cases with actor-writer Bill Mumy.

Valentine De Landro has been working in the comic book industry since 2000 on titles as diverse as Dark Horse’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Oz, Devil’s Due Publishing’s G.I. Joe Declassified and G.I. Joe Special Missions, and Image’s Noble Causes. Before joining Peter David on X-Factor, his work for Marvel included Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane, Marvel Knights 4 and Marvel Age Spider-Man.

Italian artist Marco Santucci began his career working on hit titles Nembo, Samuel Sand and Mister No. In addition to his stint on X-Factor, he has also penciled the well received Secret Invasion: The Amazing Spider-Man.

The stylish pencils of artist Bing Cansino have graced the pages of a variety of mainstream American comics. In addition to his work on Image mainstays like Spawn and Sam & Twitch, his work at Marvel has seen him tackling the likes of Fantastic Four Cosmic-Size Special, Dark X-Men and everyone’s favorite mutant detectives in X-Factor.
