Emily Greenhalgh

Emily Greenhalgh is an award-winning science journalist whose work hasbeen featured in USA Today, The Boston Globe, Gizmodo, the World Meteorological Organization, and in science textbooks. She grew up in Rhode Island, staring into tide pools and dreaming about becoming a mermaid. Realizing that wasn’t an actual job, she trained to become a marine biologist and then a science journalist. Now Emily helps scientists tell their stories. She loves discovering what makes research exciting and turning complex science into easy-to-understand ideas. She has worked on commercial fishing boats, tagged breeding sharks, and hiked in Antarctica. In her spare time, she writes speculative fiction and enjoys putting cheese on things. She lives on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, with her husband, their two dogs, and one semi-tolerant cat. Visit emilygreenhalgh.com for more information.
