Books for Libra Season

By Kat La Mantia | September 26 2023 | AdultsGeneralAllGiftBlog

From the maiden of the harvest to the scales of justice, the year turns from Virgo to Libra for September 23 – October 23. The scales may already give away the main trait for this sign: balance. Libras naturally possess a diplomatic and peaceful nature, and they also seek harmony in all aspects of their lives. Comfort is their main focus, but don’t call a Libra lazy. While Libras enjoy relaxation and calm, they are the poster child for “work life balance.” That is, as much as Libra enjoys their rest, they couple that with diligent work. Their role as a born peacemaker means that Libras do well in jobs that require tact, communication, and mediation.

Libras are fantastic listeners, making them the friend you’ll want to go to when you need to vent. Deeply empathetic, Libras find it easy to share in their loved ones’ emotions, feeling their joy or sadness as their own. This trait makes Libra a caring friend and partner, but can also make it difficult for Libra to voice opposition on an issue. When taking a side means someone might get their feelings hurt, Libras will often shy away from making a decision or voicing their true opinion in order to keep peace. Libras should be careful not to make doormats of themselves and may need to work on believing in the power of their own voice.

For Venus-ruled Libra, all is love. They’re a sign that leads with their heart as much as their head and can find themselves falling in love easily. Though Libra’s big heart may bring them plenty of suitors, their desire for balance means they’ll only be truly fulfilled in a partnership with an even give and take. Libra’s tendency towards people-pleasing can land them in sticky situations. Learning to honor and prioritize their own needs within relationships will lead tender Libras toward the harmony they seek.

Libras will love fiction about lovestruck couples and deep friendships. Their tendency towards balance means that they have an appreciation for beautiful artistic compositions and will love a luxuriously illustrated coffee table book to flip through. Self-care through things like yoga and meditation are important to Libra, and books on finding your voice and setting boundaries in relationships will help Libra check their people-pleasing ways. Our picks for Libra this month feature celebrities who share the sign, Will Smith and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, books that honor air as their zodiac element, books to aid in calm relaxation, and books that offer romance and beauty to win the heart of any Libra.
