This collection of 20 engaging stories about the natural world is drawn from global cultures and reminds readers of everyone’s responsibility to care for and respect Earth.

In this collection of 20 stories from many global cultures readers will journey all around Earth: across the wide savanna, into deep forests, over majestic mountains, into the ocean depths, and high into the skies above.  These unique tales feature bold, adventurous characters as they sail to the moon, create the first fire, and grow orchards of friendship. The ancient wisdom in these stories resonates today more than ever, highlighting the need to care for and respect Earth.

Includes background information on each story, a story map, talking points, and a bibliography.

Isabel Otter is a children's book editor and writer. She grew up in rural Herefordshire and spent much of her childhood in trees. Isabel loves weaving stories and writing about the world around her. She currently lives in London.

Ana Sender was born in Terrassa, Spain in the summer of 1978. As a child she loved to draw, write and imagine all kinds of stories. Then she grew up (although just a little bit) and studied painting and illustration in Massana art school in Barcelona. Ana's work has appeared in newspapers, books and also fashion (she's been a pattern designer for the Spanish brand La Casita de Wendy). Her dreams have always played an important role in her work; she lives a second life there that she tries to remember when she wakes up. She likes werewolves, surrealism, and swampy places.
