Katherine Halligan grew up near the beach in southern California. After studying at Duke University, she moved to the UK. She honed her writing skills while working as a publisher and has written over one hundred books for children. She lives, once again, near the beach in southern California, with her husband and their two daughters.

Jesús Verona’s work is divided between children’s illustration and illustrating for an agency. His main interests are nature, art, typography, architecture, and design. He is the illustrator of Look What I Found in the Woods and Look What I Found at the Beach, both written by Moira Butterfield. Jesús Verona was born in Madrid but lives with his wife and three children in Stockholm, Sweden.
