He’s Just Some Guy is a banter-packed, bisexual love triangle rom-com set in a contemporary Indian American community where a meticulously planned life crashes headfirst into the beautiful chaos of unexpected connection.

Simran Chopra has a road map for success, and it requires getting into the prestigious music school of her dreams. She’s been planning for this application for years. She has absolutely no time for socializing, much less her aunt’s matchmaking. So when the pressure to produce a boyfriend becomes relentless, Simran does the only sensible thing . . . she invents one. Borrowing photos from the internet, specifically the social profiles of Kabir Mehra, lead singer of an obscure indie rock band, she produces the perfect “always on the road” fake boyfriend.

It’s a foolproof plan, until Kabir Mehra shows up to a local function. Kabir, it turns out, is pure rock-and-roll chaos, and he’s delighted to play along with Simran’s farce. But as Simran spends more time with him, she meets the rest of his band. Including Amrita, the band’s effortlessly cool drummer. Suddenly Simran finds herself pulled in two very different directions.

Simran is faced with a choice: hold tight to the future she’s mapped out, or take a leap into something uncharted . . .
