Whether black, white, or colored, for Dolce&Gabbana lace represents the quintessence of seduction, transcending time.

Dolce&Gabbana’s new book reveals one of the maison's most iconic elements: lace. A symbol of sensuality and mystery, in its published images this material evokes an intimate and sophisticated feel, defining a new visual language that enhances beauty and celebrates the uniqueness of the body.

Lace represents subtle suggestions and the art of the unsaid: its transparency, it reveals and conceals, it’s a caress on the skin, it’s a mystery that invites discovery. Through iconic photos, from editorials and advertising campaigns and a series of new shots created specifically for this project, the book offers the reader a refined aesthetic vision that arouses feeling and leaves plenty to the imagination.
Domenico Dolce, born in 1958 in Sicily, near Palermo, began by working with his father in the family clothing business while studying fashion design. Stefano Gabbana, born in Milan in 1962, began working in fashion studios doing graphic design work. They became partners in life and then founded the Dolce&Gabbana company. Their debut dates back to October 1985, when the designers presented their first collection, achieving great success. Since then, Dolce&Gabbana has been on a constant and unstoppable upward trajectory.
