Embark on a mythical quest in this interactive book where YOU decide what happens next! Packed with 30 possible endings!

Choose Your Own Adventure books–the 4th bestselling children’s series of all time–are back and as much fun as you remember. Kids and adults agree, these are the books that get 9- to 12-year-olds reading.

Your parents are archaeologists who believe they have unearthed the fabled Throne of Zeus, but they lack the evidence to prove it. On the summer solstice, the goddess Athena whisks YOU back in time to Ancient Greece to find the proof yourself. In your search for Zeus, will you fly with Icarus, battle the Minotaur, or swap lives with Hermes? Will you join forces with Hercules, sweep seashells for Poseidon, or play a game of fetch with the three-headed dog Cerberus? Be careful, the choices YOU make might end in glory, disaster, or certain death.
When she was growing up, Deborah Lerme Goodman wanted to be a painter in a Parisian garret. That never happened, but other interesting things did. In addition to writing The Magic of the Unicorn, The Throne of Zeus, and The Trumpet of Terror, she has written one other book in the original Choose Your Own Adventure series, two children’s books for the Smithsonian Institution, and many magazine articles, mostly about textiles. She has directed community schools, led a mayor’s office, studied Chinese and lived in China, and finally got her dream job—teaching English to adult immigrants. She lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with her husband, John.
