A beautiful Wes Anderson–inspired picture book to help children navigate their emotions.

Just like felt, feelings can be a little fuzzy. Fuzzy Feelings follows the story of little Cat, who is experiencing lots of emotions as she navigates her way through the day. Cat wonders, Am I happy?  Am I sad? Am I confused? It’s hard to express how she is feeling.

As you turn the pages of the book with your own little one, discover together how to understand the big feelings that children have and how it can be hard to describe these different emotions. Cat learns that it’s OK to have mixed or in-between thoughts that are hard to talk about.

Fuzzy Feelings is the perfect jumping-off point for parents, caregivers, and teachers to talk to a child about how they are feeling. Created in felt, all lovingly hand-sewn by artist Cat Rabbit, it is a gentle guide to help children express themselves and navigate their world.
Michelle Mackintosh is one of Australia’s most awarded book designers. She has coauthored seven children’s books with her husband Steve, and has written multiple travel books on Japan. Her visits there inspire much of her design aesthetic and writing style. Cat Rabbit is a textile artist based in Melbourne, Australia. Using felt, recycled, and vintage fabrics, Cat hand stitches plush sculptural works of her imagined characters and the worlds they might live in. Her work translates to many formats—from children’s books to large-scale felt installations to magazine editorials—always with the aim of bringing softness and warmth to the viewer.
