Discover words of wisdom for difficult times in these intimate letters between a young person in crisis and “one of the greatest thinkers” of the 20th century (Dalai Lama).

Life is a razor’s edge and one has to walk on that path with exquisite care and with pliable wisdom.

Between 1948 and the early 1960s, the great philosopher and spiritual teacher Jiddu Krishnamurti was easily accessible. Many people came to him—and through walks, personal meetings, and letters, beautiful relationships blossomed.

Happy is the One Who Is Nothing collects Krishnamurti’s letters to a young friend who came to him wounded in body and mind. Written between June 1948 and March 1960, their correspondence reveals a rare compassion and clarity: the teaching and healing unfold; separation and distance disappear; the words flow, none of them superfluous.

Now presented in a stunning hardback gift edition, this collection is perfect for anyone seeking comfort and inspiration, or for those interested in non-duality and perspective-shifting spirituality.
“One of the greatest thinkers of the age.” —His Holiness the Dalai Lama
Jiddu Krishnamurti lived from 1895 to 1986, and is regarded as one of the greatest philosophical and spiritual figures of the twentieth century. He claimed no allegiance to any caste, nationality or religion and was bound by no tradition. For nearly sixty years he traveled the world and spoke spontaneously to large audiences until the end of his life in 1986 at the age of ninety.
