Through simple, accessible text and bright, colorful illustrations, young readers gain an understanding of this culturally significant holiday and learn the importance of sharing special occasions with the people who mean the most to us.
Kat Zhang started writing her first novel at age twelve and hasn't let up since. In high school, she wrote What's Left of Me, which expanded into her young adult series, "The Hybrid Chronicles." Since then, she’s also published multiple middle grade novels and worked with the creators of AVATAR: The Last Airbender to create an AVATAR picture book. Her popular Amy Wu series has been featured by the New York Times, Parents magazine, NPR, and the 2021 Read for the Record Campaign.

Becky Paige loves creating images that are sweet, colorful, and playful. After 20 years as a classroom teacher, she had the opportunity to go back to school to study graphic design and follow her lifelong dream of being an illustrator.  In her spare time she enjoys watching movies, going on walks, drawing, and spending time with her family.
