A post-apocalyptic graphic novel that’s The Last of Us meets Planet of the Apes…but with monsters!

2036. Two years after monsters rose from the earth and sea, devouring everything in their path, humanity stands on the brink of extinction. The survivors face a brutal choice: service…or slaughter. When a young child named Frankie narrowly escapes their fate as livestock, they’re saved by an unlikely ally—a terrifying monster named Virago, who risks everything to lead them to freedom.

From the critically acclaimed writing duo of David Dastmalchian and Leah Kilpatrick and the Bram Stoker Award–winning artist Soo Lee comes this all-new monstrous tale.

Collects Kingdom of Earth #1–#4.
While David Dastmalchian is renowned for his acting roles, he has made significant contributions to the comic book industry as a writer and creator over the last five years. His passion for storytelling converges with his love for horror and comics, which have led to the creation of several notable series: Count Crowley: Reluctant Midnight Monster Hunter, Count Crowley Volume 2: Amateur Midnight Monster Hunter, Count Crowley Volume 3: Mediocre Midnight Monster Hunter, and both the 2023 and 2024 Headless Horseman Anthology for Dark Horse Comics, Knights vs. Samurai for Image Comics and revitalizing DC's Creature Commandos. He has also written for Marvel in Venom: Black, White & Blood and Web of Venomverse: Fresh Brains. Most recently, Dastmalchian released his graphic novel, THROUGH with Z2 Comics, and is releasing his new comic series The Accessories with Panick Entertainment in the summer of 2026.

Leah Kilpatrick is a writer, actor, and creature-maker whose work spans comics, film, and television. Drawing from her background in performance and production, she explores reimagined monsters, dark humor, and the humanity buried inside the things we fear most. She has contributed to both DC Comics and Dark Horse, writing for titles such as DC Horror Presents and the Headless Horseman Halloween Annual in 2023 and 2024.

Her upcoming slate includes two major horror series premiering in 2026. The first to be announced is The Accessories, releasing with Panick Entertainment in summer 2026. Her second series, still under wraps, continues her deep dive into character-driven monster worlds. When she’s not writing, she’s probably somewhere scrubbing prosthetic adhesive off random places on her body.

Soo Lee is a freelance comic artist and writer living in NYC. She is the illustrator and co-creator of the Bram Stoker Award title CARMILLA: The First Vampire and the sequels CARMILLA: The Last Vampire Hunter and CARMILLA: The Eternal.

Soo is published by various publishers such as Dark Horse, BOOM, DC Comics, Dynamite, Skybound, and Ahoy. She is the creator of the The Wizard of Oz graphic novel adaptation, Disney Villains: MALEFICENT, and the writer of Thundercats: CHEETARA.

She is also the co-creator of the comic series: Witness Point, Kingdom of Earth, and Minor Threats: Welcome to Twilight. Her collaborative titles also include STAR WARS: Tales from the Death Star and STAR WARS: Tales from the Nightlands, amongst works on various other titles and cover illustrations.

Frank Cvetkovic is a comic book letterer who hates when people assume that all he does is put words in bubbles. There’s a little more to the job than that. For instance, sometimes he puts them in boxes. He currently lives in Cleveland, OH where the rivers occasionally catch fire and the city sometimes shuts down due to deadly swarms of balloons.
