Jin Wang is from the tiny village of Nan Ba Zi, a province of Inner Mongolia. When she was thirty-five, she moved to the United States--where she taught herself English by watching videos on YouTube. Jin is a yoga instructor in California, and met the co-author of this book, Tony Johnston, when she was a student in her class.

Tony Johnston is the award-winning author of more than 100 beloved children’s books. Throughout her career, she has worked at a children's bookstore, taught a course on picture book writing at UCLA, and studied poetry writing for children with Myra Cohn Livingston. Johnston lives with her family in San Marino, California, where she grew up.

Anisi Baigude is the Mongolian American illustrator of Odi’s Library Day, written by Hunter Hackett, which was the first children’s book to be published by the San Diego Public Library. Anisi was born in Bayannur, in Inner Mongolia, China, and attended grade school in Hohhot, the capital city of Inner Mongolia. She also lived in Japan, Massachusetts, and California. She graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a degree in studio art.
