¿Y cómo se mueve y come?

Go on a head-to-toe tour of the human body with Dr Punam Krishan, as flaps on each page open doors to the extraordinary science within you.

The human body performs incredible tasks, but how well do you know what’s happening there? Do you know why your heart beats differently when you're happy or scared, or how you move and eat, or even why you fart?

Taking you through all the key body parts, Dr Punam Krishan tells you everything you’ve ever wanted to know about yourself. Discover the maze that is the brain, the power of your muscles, and the magic behind the gut - and how they are all connected! With fun, bite-sized facts, colorful illustrations, and more than 90 flaps to lift, every page is an eye-opening discovery.

Dr Punam Krishan MBCHB MRCGP DFSRH is a practising NHS GP and media medic based in Scotland. She is a resident GP on BBC Morning Live and BBC Radio Scotland where she holds a phone-in surgery covering everything related to health and lifestyle. She was a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing in 2024. As a doctor and mother of two, she has a specialist interest in maternal and family health, as well as mental health. Recognising a need to offer parents a real talking, easy-to-understand format when it comes to looking after their family needs, Punam set up The Medic Mum podcast with a fellow GP mother, which was shortlisted for Best Podcast at the Glomama Awards 2022. Punam’s writing credits include Vogue, Hello, and Grazia, The I, and DK Children’s Sunday Times bestseller You and Your Body (2025). She was shortlisted for the British Journalism Awards 2021.
