The Superhero’s First Aid Manual covers the first-aid skills that children aged 7-11 need to know, from treating cuts, stings, burns, allergies, and more to identifying emergency situations and administering life-saving CPR.

Accidents happen, even when you are careful, so being prepared can make all the difference. With step-by-step instructions and using real-life scenarios, young heroes will know exactly what to do when someone needs help and how to do it safely.

This first aid book for children offers:
  • Essential life-saving skills so that children can act confidently in any accident, whether it’s a minor injury or an emergency, step-by-step instructions, lively illustrations, and everyday scenarios.
  • Expertly written content by GP and best-selling author Dr Punam Krishan.
  • An accessible approach, using step-by-step instructions, lively illustrations and everyday scenarios to explain each topic, from calling for emergency services to treating burns, bleeds, and more.
Do you know what to do if someone falls over and scrapes their knee? What does an asthma attack look like? Do you know when an ambulance is needed, or how to call for one? Not all heroes wear capes– discover how you can become a hero in any accident or emergency.

This book combines Dr. Punam Krishan's expertise and passion to empower children to handle accidents or emergencies confidently. The message is clear–you’re never too young to save the day.
Dr Punam Krishan MBCHB MRCGP DFSRH is a practising NHS GP and media medic based in Scotland. She is a resident GP on BBC Morning Live and BBC Radio Scotland where she holds a phone-in surgery covering everything related to health and lifestyle. She was a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing in 2024. As a doctor and mother of two, she has a specialist interest in maternal and family health, as well as mental health. Recognising a need to offer parents a real talking, easy-to-understand format when it comes to looking after their family needs, Punam set up The Medic Mum podcast with a fellow GP mother, which was shortlisted for Best Podcast at the Glomama Awards 2022. Punam’s writing credits include Vogue, Hello, and Grazia, The I, and DK Children’s Sunday Times bestseller You and Your Body (2025). She was shortlisted for the British Journalism Awards 2021.
